Joe prides himself on maintaining Blue Harbor Benefits’ reputation as the “one-stop shop” for employee benefits for small to large business owners and the self-employed. As a small business owner himself, Joe has a clear understanding of the various challenges and opportunities his clients face with making informed benefits decisions.
With over 30 years of financial services experience, Joe holds his Life and Health Insurance License. He holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation through the College for Financial Planning as well as his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation through the American College. Joe is also a member of the Baltimore Health Underwriters Association.
When asked as a small boy what he wanted to be when he grew up, Joe would proudly answer, “I want to be an insurance man – just like my dad.” Indeed, he is living the dream. Joe learned the business under the guidance of his father Jim, who ran one of the largest insurance agencies in the country.
For the past 20 years, he and his father have co-chaired The Morgan Family Foundation Golf Classic, which has raised over two million dollars to fund educational programs and scholarships for students with dyslexia in Baltimore-area schools.
