Joe prides himself on maintaining Blue Harbor Benefits’ reputation as the “one-stop shop” for employee benefits for small to large business owners and the self-employed. As a small business owner himself, Joe has a clear understating of the various challenges and opportunities his clients face with making informed benefits decisions.
With over 27 years of financial services experience, Joe holds his Life and Health Insurance License and is also an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp a broker/dealer (member SIPC) and registered investment advisor. When asked as a small boy what he wanted to be when he grew up, Joe would proudly answer, “I want to be an insurance man – just like my dad.” Indeed, he is living the dream. Joe learned the business under the guidance of his father Jim, who ran one of the largest insurance agencies in the country.
A graduate of Radford University, Joe is a native of Baltimore and currently resides in Towson, Maryland with his wife and three children. When he’s not in the office, Joe enjoys golfing, skiing, and photography. Joe was a longtime member of the Jemicy School Board of Trustees, he served for 5 years as president of the Jemicy Alumni Association, and was a founding board member of the Odyssey School. For the past 16 years, he and his father have co-chaired The Morgan Family Foundation Golf Classic, which has raised over two million dollars to fund educational programs and scholarships for students with dyslexia in Baltimore-area schools.
We like to joke that Joe is our own Blue Harbor senpai. After recently earning his black belt in Seido Karate, Joe now teaches martial arts classes for children in his spare time.
